Krystal Lopez Padley
Krystal has an MFA in Fiction Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and has led workshops in writing and art for children and adults. She loves Pope John Paul the Great’s assertion that artists carry with them “some echo of the mystery of creation with which God, the sole creator of all things, has wished in some way to associate you,” and she wants to encourage all artists to pursue their work with the greatest passion. For several years she ran pro-life clinics and political campaigns (although not simultaneously) throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
She has given talks on the importance of young Latinos and Catholic women to get involved in politics, on issues of immigration, particularly as they relate to her own family history and the current Migrant Protection Protocols, and the pro-life/ whole life ethic throughout the country. She has five children and lives with her husband in Southern California where she continues to change diapers, paint, write and ride out this pandemic.
